Can you believe we're only a week away from Christmas?! Have you been itching to take your family on a Magical Holiday Adventure but have NO IDEA where to even begin?! This blog post is for YOU!!

John & I went on a pretty magical Christmas Adventure date two weekends ago and it was so fun, I just HAD to share all of our experiences with ya'll. Below, I've compiled all the best places to see Christmas Light displays, where to do your last minute Holiday Shopping, take the family on a Holiday Hayride, do some Wine and Dining, and so much more for you all to enjoy in the beautiful Texas Hill Country! Skip the Austin traffic and take a ride the opposite direction this Holiday season! I promise you won't be disappointed! Enjoy ya'll!

1st Stop: Marble Falls, Texas

Marble Falls is such a cute Texas Lake town, right off of 281, its about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Austin and TOTALLY worth the drive! With tons of local businesses ranging from women's boutiques, to local breweries, delicious restaurants, bars, homemade fudge shops, and even a downtown theatre, this is definitely a fun place to go on a date or with your entire family! Did I mention Marble Falls actually has an open container law that allows you to walk around the cute downtown square while sipping on your favorite alcoholic beverage?!

1.) The Walkway of Lights

(6pm-10pm Everyday through the Season)

If you're looking for a magical Christmas light display without all the traffic, chaos, expensive ticket prices, and parking issues that involve going to the Trail of Lights in Austin, THIS is the spot to go! Every year, Marble Falls sets up two million lights on more than 130 Holiday Sculptures right along Lakeside Park, and let me tell you, it is full of so much magic and Holiday cheer! The Walkway of Lights is totally free, although donations are very welcomed. They offer Hot Chocolate, and some other fun light drinks and snacks for the family. There is plenty of free parking, dog friendly, and wheelchair accessible.

**PRO TIP: Go right at Sunset to have the entire place to yourself! The lights will be shining bright and pictures are BEAUTIFUL as the sun goes down!

2.) Uptown Theatre

Want to spend the entire day engulfed in Holiday magic?! The entire month of December, Uptown Theatre hosts free Christmas Classics! Go watch a movie to get you in the Holiday spirit, enjoy some delicious concessions, and kick back while you wait for the sun to go down so you can enjoy the lights! Here's another plus, all concession fees go to help support the local Theatre club at Marble Falls High School!
